westwood at night

whoo! westwood. lol finally i go down there with a friend of mine who is a fellow inland valley-er like myself XD. she went to chaffey and was in the orchestra with mr. mazur! and that was so coincidence because we just started talking when we were hiking up the mountains. lol! go figure, apparently she was one of the woodwinds, but she told me that she recognized me from somewhere and we started talking more. she's really nice and i'm glad that i found another good friend at UCLA. for a while i felt anti-social in most of my classes. but she's really fun and introduced me to westwood. the first time i've been out of my dorm and in westwood looking around. it was really enjoyable and we ate at thai food place called mr. noodles. so yea, lots of fun stuff. crazy drivers, but fun stuff. ^^

edit: i forgot to update you guys on the trip! XD so we went down all though pacific coast highway, for those of you who know that highway, it's the one that if you drive all along the highway, you can see all the beaches on the side. that one! our professor took us to the hiking trails that were found along the highway and up in the mountains of santa monica. it was very cool and views were amazing. i mean you can see the oceans and houses -- it was magnificent. ^^ i really enjoyed the views, but the hiking was terrible. half the time i felt like my legs were going to give out and i would just slip and fall down. also, there was a stream in a ditch area. so we had to basically come down to see it. i slipped on the dirt and my foot luckily stopped in a pile of dead leaves. yea but it was really neat because there's this stream running through and tons of boulders around. it's crazy.

all in all, people who live in the santa monica mountains are rich, we went up this one mountain and like all you see are mercedes, bmw's and hardly any lexuses come down and up that mountain. the neighborhoods are nice up there and houses are so big and nice.. i wanna live like that one day XD
