encounter with that one british professor dude

Me and Cilla went downstairs to get some dinner and I see that the British professor is sitting at a table. He has some candy spread out on his table and a sign in front saying "office hours blah blah" something something, don't remember because I was mostly staring at the candy.

British Professor: Would you like some candy?
Me: Sure!
British Professor: Ok first tell me your name.
Me: I'm Jeanie! *professor extends hand* sorry, ^^;; i just went to the restroom.
British Professor: It's all right, nice to meet you *shakes fist* I'm Jonathan (ok more formal I forgot his last name XD)
Me: Ooh, I remember you when we had that introduction thing for Rieber court.
British Professor: Yea I did that...something something *still wanting the candy*

Lol..later one..I finally get it! Muahaha. Turns out no one really visits him so he just sat outside today to talk to people. I think it worked out a lot better because a lot of people went to say hi and chat with him. He's cool.

Whoo..that's it..nothing to do for Halloween..unless it's partying..but I'm not that type of girl :)

Ah Happy Halloweenieeee. Aww it's the first Halloween I've spent away from home. I'm going to miss seeing my friends all dressed up at my door asking for candy. Rofl, =( so sad. Anywho, chillin and worrying at the same time about my midterm this Thursday. Even though it's just mostly a definition midterm, I'm still worried as always.

Going to my first job interview today. Whoo, turns out this other place I applied to was still interested so I'm going to see what they have to offer. I hope I get hired just to maintain and update the website. However, if they ask me to make a new layout I'm just going to like...x.x;; yea refuse on their offer. XD But anywho, wish me luck and I hope that I get some good hours. It's a good way for me to practice my time management skills. All righty, I'm off! :)

packed schedule this week too. i don't think i'll be home this weekend either. i got some review session on sunday which is pretty crazy. and i have to study hardcore for my science midterm. lots of info so i'll be cramming as much as i can.

new firefox out. so please get the new firefox 2 if want a more updated and sleeker version of firefox. it is absolutely gorgeous. but i know they'll come out with more updated versions in the future.

anywho....in my dorm chilling. cilla's coming back tomorrow i suppose since her dad has a major headache. =( so yea, i'mma be on my own, but i can always call up my cousin..at least i think she's still on campus anyway, XD i gotta check.

so yea just got up. yesterday i stayed up til 1 am watching mtvu and the history channel about dragons. man i'm so azn. but yea i learned a lot! i'm going to watch more history channel from now on. hahaha, man bad tv, i still gotta study for my midterm this thursday. lol, darn..

lalala...so i'm just going to like do hw and then chill after. i think it's best and everything's quiet right now so it's good. i can concentrate -- for a while. if worst comes to worst, i gotta go down to covel commons to study. but i'll be fine.

westwood at night

whoo! westwood. lol finally i go down there with a friend of mine who is a fellow inland valley-er like myself XD. she went to chaffey and was in the orchestra with mr. mazur! and that was so coincidence because we just started talking when we were hiking up the mountains. lol! go figure, apparently she was one of the woodwinds, but she told me that she recognized me from somewhere and we started talking more. she's really nice and i'm glad that i found another good friend at UCLA. for a while i felt anti-social in most of my classes. but she's really fun and introduced me to westwood. the first time i've been out of my dorm and in westwood looking around. it was really enjoyable and we ate at thai food place called mr. noodles. so yea, lots of fun stuff. crazy drivers, but fun stuff. ^^

edit: i forgot to update you guys on the trip! XD so we went down all though pacific coast highway, for those of you who know that highway, it's the one that if you drive all along the highway, you can see all the beaches on the side. that one! our professor took us to the hiking trails that were found along the highway and up in the mountains of santa monica. it was very cool and views were amazing. i mean you can see the oceans and houses -- it was magnificent. ^^ i really enjoyed the views, but the hiking was terrible. half the time i felt like my legs were going to give out and i would just slip and fall down. also, there was a stream in a ditch area. so we had to basically come down to see it. i slipped on the dirt and my foot luckily stopped in a pile of dead leaves. yea but it was really neat because there's this stream running through and tons of boulders around. it's crazy.

all in all, people who live in the santa monica mountains are rich, we went up this one mountain and like all you see are mercedes, bmw's and hardly any lexuses come down and up that mountain. the neighborhoods are nice up there and houses are so big and nice.. i wanna live like that one day XD

Hehehe!!1 yes i'm that important muahahaha no i'm kidding. mk so yea, i had a long day. lots of walking..lots of sales..good sales. i finally got a new mic -- that works! so hah! lol, now i can talk to people. pretty darn nifty i say. cilla's bomb. she makes everything better.

i went into the bathroom and this girl was putting her hand in ice. apparently she grabbed her friend's curling iron while it was still hot! ouch. that's gotta hurt >.<;;

99 problems!!

lol, not 99 that's a bit of an exaggeration but it seems like after i solve one problem..another one arises. i don't know if it's ucla hating on me or if i have something against the school (b/c i certainly don't) but like everything seems not on the right track. first my dpr (degree progress report with all my info on academics) got like messed up. i don't know how..but my ap units aren't in there..and then..i missed tutoring because i forgot my agenda last week and i was so screwy..this sucks. i seriously don't know if it's me just forgetting or if i have some kind of health condition but sometimes i'll just forget. it's sad and i'm so young..lol, i don't think it's serious, but still, forgetting little things can add up and make me panic for the most part. now i'm trying to write everything down and just plan my day as usual. college is so different now..not like high school where i can go to my next class as usual and nothing change..but college makes me think and remember..god..=( i'm so bad at those things..

so lonely

Man you think I'd have someone to hang out with when I don't have classes..but here I am..lonely....i'm so lonely..i have nobody..i'm all on my own....ooOoOOo...that song!! XD no i'm kidding, there are up things about being by yourself, you have your own little schedule, you can do whatever you want without having to ask the other person "what do you want to do?" lmao, but then..it gets lonely..you need to talk to someone about stuff..or just laugh about randomness. muaha, i think i need some kind of digital pet to keep me occupied. rofl, no, but i'll survive.

omg, today was awesomeness. so i was in south campus (where all the math/science classes are taught) and these people were setting up a ceremony in honor of professor terry tao who won the nobel prize in mathematics. lmao, the cool part was that ucla paid for all this food and then they announced, "this is in honor of professor terry tao...blah blah, oh and there's free food..." lol, i heard free and i hurried over to the line! lol, i am so sad, but yea i got a burger and some dessert. yum, we should have more nobel prize winners on our campus, that'd be freakin tight. XD

sometimes i wonder if i screwed up when choosing my classes this first quarter...damn orientation counselor..but mostly it was my responsibility to seek out someone and ask. dammit..me and my last minute crap.

aww thanks for all the facebook comments. i really appreciated them. i feel a lot better now, thank goodness XD being sick is no walk in the park. yuck. anywho, enjoying my weekend or what's left of it. i have midterms coming up but i realized that they don't all fall in the same week. hurrah. i am super duper happy.

In a Nutshell

The end of my week was pretty hectic. First off, I went to see Clinton and yes I did see him!!! I thought I wouldn't catch a glimpse of him because as I entered the garden, it was absolutely packed with people towards the front who had a good view of everything. I was practically tip toeing the entire time to see him. I finally settled on an spot and recognized the guy with a blue shirt, black jacket and white hair. Geena Davis was also there and it wasn't until later that I found out it was actually her speaking to everyone about prop 87.

Afterwards, my friends dropped by for a visit at UCLA. I gave them a long ass tour and walking around the major parts on campus is very tiring. But the in the end, I think they enjoyed it. I hope they did at least. It started raining and it wasn't until my two other friends arrived that we had to leave. It was so messed up and believe me I am completely sorry, but I had to get home and there was no way we could have hung outside since it was raining. I was utterly disappointed and contrite, but I had to leave them because my other friends were leaving at this time.

I never went up and down the hill so many times...

So on our way, we got into a bit of traffic and the weather wasn't all that great. Not to mention that my friend was out of gas and she had to find a gas station. It was pretty hectic and we got lost at this one city too. I mean that part of Los Angeles looked really bad.

I finally come home at 9:30 after much driving and we left at 6:30pm. Never ever are we doing that again.

Moon Festival!! It was a reunion of "Asians" and Steven, since he tagged along with Tin. It was good seeing everyone and catching up with them. We also go these lanterns and Steven kept trying to light Tin's lantern on fire. I really liked the shape of Tin's lantern! It looked really pretty..

All in all, the weekend was very exhausting and now I'm sick. Boo. I stayed up until 1:30 am doing math homework and Julie's sick too. Bummer. I hate this feeling. I hate being sick! Not fun.

Just a quick post:

Last night I was in my dorm room talking to Priscilla and then my mom calls me up telling me I have to get ready by the time my dad arrives to UCLA. Omg..after she told me that me and Cilla hurried and packed up all our things before my dad came. I couldn't believe that my mom wanted me to come home that early. At first she wanted me to come home on Saturday, then she probably changed her mind -- again (no surprise there) and decided to make my dad drive me home.

It's good to be back home again. Nancy's sick with the flu and Julie's still the same as ever. I miss eating fish!! They don't have it at UCLA..only on their sushi menu which I will someday try.
